  • Stocks Worth Buying Prior To Earnings In Q2 (Part One) [View article]
Look for Google to come out with strong earnings. Youtube should be a catalyst and look for major growth in revenues on that end,
here is an excellent column on Google + and Facebook being Google's competitive threat and why Page is concentrating so much on social. That won't affect this quarter, but we'll see in the future--

Hey Rocco, good column. I like the general line of thinking. I don't know if Pandora is a go-go as there is limited barriers to entry into the business.
HBOGo, has HBO programming only to my knowledge ... but correct me if i am wrong. Netflix might get bought out, but I am still short the company.
My analysis of Netflix competition is here if you want to read leave me a comment on the blog. Cheers

  • Amazon Prepares To Expand Margins [View article]
The company executes fantastically, but the P/E ratio is so high. Low margins is amazon's way of gaining market share. Part of the reason they are going to streaming video is they want everybody buying from amazon only.
As for Prime, CURRENTLY, their free video offerings Suck Ass, and are no threat to Netflix. However, i agree that amazon is getting new content, and Netflix should watch themselves.
here is a great column about competition facing Netflix
