Individual investor with particular interest in any company that is on the cusp of change--for the better. These companies will have at least several attributes in common: They are underfollowed; underappreciated; have a clear, stated strategy for driving profits; management and BOD are perfectly aligned with common shareholders; management team and BOD with a track record of rewarding shareholders; and have near-term catalysts that will have meaningful impact on the business. Simple, right?
The enormous advancement in the biological sciences that is taking place has begun to change the traditional way of practicing medicine. Far-reaching biological products are being approved and news about breakthroughs are occupying the media headlines. However, selecting the biotechnology firms for investment requires not only an understanding of the company's finances, but also deep knowledge of the company's potential and the potential and scientific validity of it's products and technologies.
Our Mission is evaluating biotechnology companies, their products, their technologies, scientists, managements, as well as their finances. Our goal is to impart our readers with the knowledge and insight so that they may have a heightened understanding and appreciation for the biotechnology industry.

I joined Seeking Alpha as a Senior Editor in June 2012. Currently, I manage the Dividends, Income & Retirement and Expert Insight platforms. D&I focuses on income investment strategies and dividend investment-focused content for investors from the accumulation stage to retirement. The purpose of Expert Insight is to expand and elevate the quality of Seeking Alpha's content by including articles from an industry insider's point of view, designed to help investors make more informed decisions as they consider specific sectors and trends within those sectors for their investing strategies, e.g., utilities or technology. Expert Insight articles offer more of a macro, 30,000-foot-view that goes beyond investment analysis or stock recommendations.
I also curate the Dividends & Income Digest, a bi-weekly publication that takes a look at a question that is compelling and relevant to the community, showcases the responses of DI thought leaders, and serves as a round-up of top DI articles.
I hope to continue to discover new voices and thought leaders through insightful articles and conversations in the comments threads. My goal is to draw a large, diverse audience to Seeking Alpha, and make our community THE go-to place to participate in investing research and exchange lucrative, unique, exciting investing knowledge and ideas. I'm always looking for new ideas and contributors, so please feel free to reach out to me. I'm eager to hear your thoughts and discover how we can work together to make Seeking Alpha the best site for investors on the web.
I consider myself a 50/50 technical/fundamental trader and investor. I have carved a niche in analyzing small cap biotechnology companies and analyzing trial data, design and company structure. I mainly trade catalyst-driven stocks with good cash positions and promising therapies. Overall, my specialty is trial data. Over the past 6 years of research and investing, I have learned of the many ways to make money trading these extremely volatile and speculative biotech plays, particularly by making the best assumptions and educated guesses possible on trial data and company structure and management. I play the FDA calendar and pick the best companies possible for run-ups to data. I also do research for Stockmatusow.com, and collaborate with Scott Matusow and Kyle Dennis on articles and trade calls.
