  • Short Sirius XM: Distinguishing Between the Company and the Stock [View article]
    Dino -

"I find it difficult to understand your logic"

All I'm saying is that the laws of physics has to apply here. What goes up MUST come down. While you are correct that it is highly risky but it is no more risky than trying to time the bottom of a trade.

Right now, I'm just betting that it has seen its peak area before a temporary retrace towards the 50 day average or slightly above. I am still holding firm to my $1.85 to $1.90 target before the end of the month.

"Many just need to decide if they are "traders" or "investors". Then buy/sell accordingly."

I don't think its that simple. I only subscribe to the idea of "being on the right side of the trade". The market is about making money; plain and simple. Saying that one should decide if they are "traders or investors" is like saying you are either a democrat or republican and vote accordingly regardless of the issue. Fundamentally, I have to disagree with that.

My monthly statements from E*Trade doesn't care if I am short or long or if I was an "investor" that month or a "trader". The statement only shows me red or green.

  • Sirius's Resiliency in Spite of Downgrade Very Telling [View article]
    Sirifair -

Last week, in an article, I indicated how we should be mindful of the price action that we just witnessed. What it told me was that there were more buyers than sellers during each session. Investors who were looking for bullish signals, particularly in the face of a downgrade, got just that. Now its up to Sirius to justify the optimism; not just for this quarter, but for the quarters ahead.

  • The Sirius XM Two-Step: 2.0, $2 Rate Increase and $2 per Share [View article]
    Mikest584 -

" I see a $2.50 - $2.75 price range no later than Thanksgiving and $3.50+ by this time next year."

A $2.50 price by the end of the year is not out of the question, but I think a $2.75 is a little too bullish, as much as I would like to see it. In fact, that would be my target on a 12 month basis.

  • Sirius XM: What to Consider Ahead of Q1 Earnings [View article]
    Oink -

You are entitled to your opinion and I respect it. But since you pointed out "all of the authors on SA" I wish to take this opportunity to visit how I have noticed your diligence in pointing out "in-accuracies" in only the articles that speak favorably about SIRI; no matter how mundane they may be.

Yet on articles with clear factual errors; some of which you have debated vehemently, you remain silent since they are bearish on SIRI. This is even though we have discuss the issue with clear understanding. Yet you don't seek to point those errors. Why is that?

So is it really facts that you crave or something else? Since your admission to SSA that you rather find faults in the arguments of others than to formulate your own, I have learned to take what you say with a grain of salt. You do however, have an opportunity to commence the shift of authors whom are willing to admit mistakes by becoming one.

I would not rule it out. I tend to be a little conservative when it comes to SIRI projections. The possible ending of QE2 could have some impact on macroeconomic sentiment which may place a temporary cap on upward movement of equities; SIRI included.

But $2 from this level has to be considered at least a "gimme" sometime before the end of the second quarter.

    Are you thinking sooner?

Your article is flawed in many respects, but If you got $1 with every slap in the face, by your account the article was worth it. You are walking to the bank with each new negative comment. If this was strategic, I can only say, you are a shrewd and calculated business man.

    For this I say congratulations...

    Lol!

I am HPC and bleed HPC colors. But you are right, people are starting to become more astute at accepting all facts; whether they are favorable or not. This is what creates smarter investors in my opinion.

I was getting too many thumbs up from my recent comments. HPC mandates that we be more balanced so I gave myself a thumbs down because it felt like the right thing to do.

    Sorry, won't happen again...

In a couple of weeks the share price will be below $1.70. You'll be kicking yourself again for not waiting on a lower entry point. Basically, you've just sold low and bought high. I agree the stock will go higher into the $2 range at some point this year, but it will likely test the 50day moving average before that happens; likely the $1.60 - $1.65 range again.

I mean that in the nicest possible way.

You have turned the corner indeed. I too have disagreed with you on several issues, but I have to say that the humility you have shown in responding to Homer's corrections have allowed me to take a different perspective.

I have learned more about SiriusXM from your comments and exchanges in this article than any other article on which I've posted or have just read. So thanks!

With that, any comment I have made which might have been slightly offensive towards you, understand it was never personal!

Does that 1500% include the Russell Re-balance $2.00 share price? How much of the 5000% trading calls were affected by the reverse split not taking place; something that you vehemently called for?

    You say...

"you think I'm a top 20 author here or have hundreds of subscribers because I'm not accurate?"

But this is all according to you. There is no prognosticator official register that keeps records of your calls. By the way, car sales were highest in December in spite of the snow storms that you warned about.

Personally, I don't have an issue with you Brandon. I have an interest in SiriusXM. But if you write an article that contain erroneous information, your readers have a right to voice their opinion without you calling them stupid. Your "followers" no less.

But keep patting yourself on the back and tooting your track record...

Today you call be a dumbass and yesterday you called me a buffoon. Yet, you are the one with the picture of your head inside an alligator's mouth.

This will be my last response to anything you post. My contribution to the "idiot quota" has been reached for the year with still a couple of weeks left. Catch me after new years...

  • Sirius Reports Strong Q2, Raises Full-Year Guidance [View article]
    draland -

There are no such thing as "short squeezes". It's a term thrown out with absolutely no meaning nor evidence as to an occured event. No professional analyst or respected columnist ever uses the term; only speculators swear by it as a means to counter the "evil shorts".

By the way, even with the upgrade today, don't be surprised if there's a selloff...

This is what SIRI does. Hopefully that is not the case. I just need $1.10
