Traditional analysis does not apply. If your views are correct, then they were also "correct" when the stock was at $12 a share in 2001. Good luck. Keep hoping.

Well, no shortage out there of people convinced they are 100% right and nobody else possibly could be. No shortage of definitive statements about stock price, awards and valuations. But the marketplace will determine the stock price in the long run--not the folks on message boards. Wish we could all express our views without attacking each other. The shorts and longs alike should be heard, but not sure why it all has to be so personal. (???) I'd like to try to help make SA a place for civil debate and not vitriol. At any rate, time will bring clarity on Vringo. It will be interesting to look back in a year or two and see who turned out to be correct. Thanks. -rw
WW, well said. i actually consider my investment in VRNG speculation--didn't intend to insult them b/c i am one of them at times, certainly. just trying to advocate slower, non-emotional approach--at least in terms of getting all/most of the info before making a quick trade. sometimes spec trades take a long time to play out. i think vrng might be one of those. and falling in love w/ a stock is no good either, i agree. thanks. -rw
All, Thanks for the feedback and input. Emotions (and theories) run high on many fronts. Kinda proves the point of my article, which is that we are still deciphering what our VRNG reality is going to be, and that it is too soon, in my opinion, to know for certain. There are dozens if not hundreds of comments and views about how to interpret everything at this still early stage--and nearly everyone seems positive that they alone are right. Stay tuned. -rw

1234, FB reminds me of AMZN 10+ years ago. Few could see the potential and everyone seemed to disdain it. Most still do, as per the comments above. I remain a fan, for the longterm.. It will remain a bumpy ride. Thanks. -rw

Seban, Shares of AMZN have been "overvalued" for the last 200 points. Stay tuned. As for FB--see my article again--agreed. The expirations will of course impact the stock. Thanks. -rw

MG, Good points. Apple certainly is the most solid and FB is certainly the most uncertain. But i think one has to own some more speculative stocks in the mix to make the risk of the market itself worth it. (In other words, I'm not in equities for any yield--I'm looking for substantial returns over the long term.) XMAS 2013 competition sounds fun. i think your aapl could be close; AMZN over 300. But i see FB closer to 30 b/c it is dying for good news and is a pretty tightly compressed spring, i think--espcially after the lock-ups get past us. Thanks. -rw
