Not Ready to Buy, But Varian Is Worth a Second Look [View article]
Pauvre,
Yes that is me. SocialPicks is based on my hundreds and literally thousands of blog entries. A closer look at "me" is my Covestor Account which also does not include the role of cash in my account. However, your point is well taken.
I appreciate your honesty in pointing out that you are a share holder. And I hope that you do well with your ARAY shares. As I pointed out on my original response, my comments had to do with Varian and not with any other stocks.
Thank you for taking the time to respond to my own entry.

P.S. Pauvre,
You have made 8 comments on Seeking Alpha and EVERY ONE has been about boosting Cyberknife and ARAY. Would you please explain to all of us in the sake of transparency whether you own shares of ARAY or work on their behalf?

My comments on Varian (VAR) are not intended to be reflective of any possibilities of other companies like Accuray (ARAY). They do have a very interesting product, but if we look at the first quarter results: biz.yahoo.com/prnews/0...
ARAY reported on December 18, 2008, that while revenue climbed 15% to $55.9 million, the company lost $(3.2) million in the quarter vs. a profit of $2.3 million.
In fact if we look at the statement of operations, we can see that "products" revenue increased nominally from $36.98 million to $37.46 million year over year. "Services" showed the largest increase.
Good luck with ARAY. I am looking forward to seeing the next quarter's result. Certainly the stock has outperformed Varian. I just like Varian's numbers better I guess.
