Here's an article you wrote around the same time as the Geron bashing article: seekingalpha.com/artic... Your beloved LXK recently hit a new 52 week low as well. Sony, WebMD, CREE, Smith & Wesson, NTRI, Cisco, Logitech, BAC, most of the China stocks, etc. have all made new 52-week lows recently. So? Again, nobody here confused Geron for a "value play" LVI so why don't you save your cherry-picking plugs (or pot-shots) for a more appropriate forum?

Hey all, As I said in the original article, I'm excited about the OPC1 trial but if it were Geron's only (or primary) field of pursuit, I'd be less comfortable in the stock. Frankly, I think OPC1 is the "sizzle" & the telomerase/oncology component is the "steak". Best of luck, RL

Worth noting: A large clearing firm recently declared Geron unmarginable. As of tomorrow, anyone long the shares using margin (thru this firm) must either sell or add funds so that their Geron shares are 100% paid for (or sell something else to free up cash) etc. Same goes true for those (legitimately) short. i.e. they must cover enough so it's 100% paid for or add $. Make sense?

Hey, OPC1 news (although I expect it will be limited to more patients enrolled & generally safe & tolerable). I don't expect any efficacy demonstrated in this time period although I'd love to be wrong. Also, 6 oncology phase II's wrapping up in around 15 months. I am hopeful stock will start to ramp on anticipation of these results. Wildcard; Big Pharma starts sniffing around in earnest & maybe cuts a revenue sharing arrangement or alliance of some kind. Wildcard 2; OPC1 does demonstrate even minor efficacy in more than 1 patient. Again, I see limited downside around here although I should amend the time horizon to 12-18 months. One final thought; It will be interesting to observe how analysts behave over the next year or so. My guess; they will wait until there is significant traction in the shares to reiterate/initiate coverage.

This was a critical takeaway from this morning's PR, in my view; "The company has received clearance from the FDA to expand eligibility criteria from injuries between spinal segments T3 and T10 to include patients with injuries at T11. In addition, the FDA has approved that the current 30 day period between subjects in the trial may be reduced to 10 days. Five clinical sites are currently open for patient enrollment, with two additional sites to follow. All sites are referral medical centers for spinal cord trauma and/or rehabilitation, and the catchment area for the clinical trial now includes all 48 lower U.S. States."

Just to be clear, Geron's low in 2009 was around 3.65. In 2008, around 2 bucks. Still healthy gains, but Geron hasn't been close to a buck since 2003, when the (all time) low was around 1.40.

Hey all, Thanks for the great comments. I just wanted to add that, as stated previously, I am a strong believer in the science of Geron. That said, if you invest in the shares, I encourage you to do so with a reasonable time horizon. You may also choose to take advantage of any weakness in the share price, providing nothing fundamentally has changed within the company. In my view, Geron is not a trade but an investment. Best of luck all, RL

re; CC Naturally, I was disappointed to learn only one patient has been treated. That said, I'm pleased he's apparently responding well & without any major safety issues. I hope to see the parameters relaxed slightly & more patients enrolled. As a long term investor, (which is the only way to play Geron in my view), I'm glad the stock is still very cheap. Geron is a real "tuck it under your pillow" position for my firm. By the time many have heard of it, we may be looking to scale out. In the meantime, we have added to our position down here. Best of luck, RL
