  • Apple: May Has Come And Gone And No $140; Where We Stand [View article]
Apple stock pricing on a short term basis has always been next to impossible to predict. If you want in, now is as good a time as any. Usually Apple goes down during the WWDC which will be held again the week of June 6 but I do not think so this year. There are many good things that are to be discussed. For example Apple TV's next steps are likely to demonstrate the potential for new and significant sources of revenue. There is lots of opportunity in streaming video and home entertainment system controllers and servers. The cable and satellite companies have left the door wide open with inferior products and lack of customer orientation.

Also more and more we are learning of the failure of Google Android ( http://tinyurl.com/o2u... ) and as this information becomes more widely known I would not except any major drop in Apple's valuation, quite the contrary.

  • Google Will Likely Remain The Default Search Engine On Apple iOS Devices [View article]
The ultimate end of the nuclear war may come when Google's search engine, ad sales and the selling of people's private are marginalized to the point where Google's revenues begin to shrink. Google is in the natural growth path for Apple and its a convenient reality that they will be significant contributor to Google's inevitable slide downhill unless the develop new significant revenue streams.

Looks like the adult supervision was removed way too quickly.

Wow! This and Mark Hibbins article on SA at the same time are two powerful statements of why Google is failing. In my opinion these summaries provide clear documentation of Google's downward slide and why it is happening. Thank you Mark and Dana.

  • Google IO Offers Surprisingly Good News For Apple [View article]
Classic tipping point article Mark. Thank you. Not only is Google's one trick advertising model under attack by Facebook, Apple in stealth mode, and others like Twitter, we have gone from an environment where Google can do no wrong to an environment to one where selling and exploiting people's personal info is now very uncool. Selling people's info is also under attack by the Eurozone. Plus their core search tool is glowingly under siege by Apple and Microsoft Bing. I have sold the last of my Google and even bought Microsoft again with some of the proceeds.

Glad to hear Intel's learning how to work in a more open and entrepreneurial way but transferring company jewels to an aggressive Chinese company pushing Android is very, very dangerous.

It's not the processor that's important, its the ecosystem.

Thanks for reinforcing what everyone should be figuring out by now. As far as the name goes, and I am not saying my name is perfect, simple is better.

Anther great spot on article Mark. I think the world is beginning to understand that Apple is not a cell phone company. It is the leader of the Wireless Information Age buildout, a buildout that is already much bigger than wired Internet could ever hope to be.

  • Apple gets target hikes, Icahn praise after FQ2 beat [View news story]
What's going on here is manipulation. Market makers have lots of options out that are now underwater big time on their end. Apple will march ahead after the weekly options expire on Friday. IN the meantime they will try to keep Apple's price down if they can do it cost effectively.

  • Yelp -4.2%; Kickstarter launched for critical documentary [View news story]
The benefit of Yelp to everyone involved far outweighs the downside. Any savvy reader knows to sort the wheat from the chaffee as is true for the internet in general. If the Yelp documentary is not entertaining very few people will go. I agree with the Yawn expressed above.

  • Apple iPad Sales May Surprise In FY 2016 [View article]
Yes Enterprise adoption takes a long time. The more sophisticated and potentially useful the application, the longer it is likely to take. A few months is only the early part of this incubation period.
