You will NEVER, NEVER with a capital N see this highly significant information on the front page of the NYTs or any other major media outlet. In order for the AGW theory to maintain support, the general public can only be given cherry picked half truths and one side of the story.

Climate alarmists need to chill out
Every time it gets unseasonably cold and someone says the chill is proof global warming isn’t happening, the climate alarmists shriek that one cold spell proves nothing.

Of course the reverse is never true. Every heatwave, hurricane or drought is trumpeted by the same fear mongers as proof that a warming catastrophe is imminent. Whenever local temperatures exceed the seasonal norm, some climate scientist or eco-activist will insist that these are the kind of hot times humans will have to get used to if we don’t dramatically reduce our lifestyles and our carbon emissions.

Indeed, just imagine what the environmentalists would be shouting right now if, instead of being the coldest November on record in parts of North America, this was the warmest.

  • Alibaba May Be The Amazon Killer [View article]
Amazon.com AMZN +0.02% turned in its worst year on the market since 2008, taking a big bite out of founder Jeff Bezos’ personal net worth.

Chief Executive Bezos saw his Amazon holdings lose about $7.4 billion in value over the course of the year as the e-commerce giant’s shares fell more than 22%. Still, Bezos’ 84 million shares, equal to 18.3% of the company, will ring in the New Year with a value of roughly $26.1 billion.

Shareholders punished Amazon for its free spending on projects such as the Fire smartphone and other gadgets and a widening network of warehouses close to urban centers. The company has admitted it botched the phone’s rollout, mainly blaming its price for slow sales.

In this year’s third quarter – marked by Amazon’s worst net loss in 14 years – the company took a $170 million charge for the Fire phone and said it had $83 million in inventory. It has dropped the price with a contract to 99 cents.

Inhofe: GOP Senate to push against regulations

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Republican Party’s takeover of the U.S. Senate gives the GOP its best chance to push back against government regulations and ramp up military spending since Democratic President Barack Obama was elected in 2008, Oklahoma’s senior U.S. senator, Jim Inhofe, says.

Elected to a fourth full six-year term in November’s general election, the 80-year-old Inhofe, a Republican, will be part of a 54-seat majority when the Senate convenes in January.

PayPal Co-Founder Is Skeptical of Man-Made Global Warming for This Reason

PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel, often considered one of the most influential people in Silicon Valley, said Tuesday that he is skeptical of man-made global warming because many refuse to allow debate the subject.

“Whenever you can’t have a debate, I often think that’s evidence that there’s a problem,” Thiel said on The Glenn Beck Program. “When people use the word ‘science,’ it’s often a tell, like in poker, that you’re bluffing. It’s like we have ‘social science’ and we have ‘political science,’ [but] we don’t call it ‘physical science’ or ‘chemical science.’ We just call them physics and chemistry because we know they’re right.”

Thiel said no one will be upset if you ask questions about the periodic table, because it is actually science. But referring to man-made climate change as “science” tells you “that people are exaggerating and they’re bluffing a little bit,” Thiel said.

“The weather has not been getting warmer for the last 15 years. The hockey stick that Al Gore predicted in the early 2000s on the climate has not happened,” he remarked. “And I think as this monolithic culture breaks down, you can have more debates.”

Bingo, I've pointed this out thousands of times. Funny how as more research get published the skeptic's side seems to always be supported by the evidence. The glaciers slide on melted water. Water is the lubricant that allows the glaciers to move. They always show cracks in glaciers and water pouring down into them, but that is an annual event, and few cracks go the entire depth of a glacier, and even if they did it would pool and fill up the crack if it didn't simply run out of the glacier like a river. Water lubricates the entire bottom of these glaciers, that fact along with the fact that Greenland IS BASICALLY A VOLCANO pretty much points to the fact that the glacier is melted from beneath, much like dropping an ice cube on a hot skillet. Bottom line, the more people look into the claims and reasons for global warming, they more they will decide warming is due to natural forces.

Greenland Ice Melt Geothermal, Not Manmade

Newly released research, primarily from NASA and the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences, indicates that melting of selective Greenland Glaciers is related to geologically induced heat flow, and not manmade atmospheric global warming.

Previous articles posted here and here have documented the effect of geologically induced geothermal heat flow on the West Antarctic continent and Arctic Ocean Ice Sheets. In both cases relatively recent research was used to show natural variations in climate, climate-related events, and warmed from geothermal heat.

You can't make this stuff up, but it does highlight the impossible task of modeling something with an infinite number of variables.

Arctic ground squirrels churn up and warm soil in the Tundra, allowing carbon dioxide gas trapped in the ice to escape into the atmosphere
Methane released from ponds created by beavers estimated to contribute 200 times more greenhouse gas to atmosphere than they did 100 years ago
Climate scientists will have to tweak their models to include role of rodents
Scientists insist that rodents role in global warming does not let humans off the hook but shows animals play more of a role than previously thought

  • GOP Hearings On Climate Change May Threaten Entire Green Economy [View article]
There may be a real political climate change coming that will bring catastrophic financial storms to the green economy. In my posts I've highlighted Bernie Maydoff style data manipulations with the Hockeystick temperature graph, polar bear data and now the Ocean pH. Here is a developing story many investors may not be aware of. Pay special attention to the last sentence.

"This ought to be the subject of congressional hearings next year."

If congress decides to create an SEC type body for scientific data, the field of climate "science" will become extinct. Investors need to demand the same integrity in the data that they do for financial data for the climate science data that supports the green economy. If they do that, investors, tax payers, the nation, the world and the science community will be well served.

Looks like this Ocean pH story may be catching on in the media. Here is a more detailed story. Pay special attention to the last sentence.

"This ought to be the subject of congressional hearings next year."

I've done my very best to warn investors about the fraud going on with the climate "science" data, and the risks it presents for them. If congress exposes the same issues I've been highlighting, I would imagine the Green Economy stocks are headed for a real political climate change, one that may bring catastrophic financial storms. Bottom line, people simply need to apply the standards they demand for financial data to the climate science data. If they do that, if an SEC type body is created to ensure the validity of the climate science data and conclusions, there will be no more climate science. All the "scientists" will be shacking up with Bernie Maydoff.

Here is more of the data problems of the climate "science."

After reading this BBC article on modeling the “tipping point” of polar bear populations, it seemed this photo summed it up well, especially since modeling was substituted in lieu of “nearly non-existent data”. I wonder how the bears survived the Roman Warm Period, or the Medieval Warm Period?
    http://bit.ly/1wJVI1b

Significantly, 2013 contained no “outliers” (the black dots, indicating bears in much poorer condition than others that year) and several years (e.g. 1998, 2000) had more bears that were in poor condition than were found in 2013.

These results indicate that winter/spring ice conditions in 2013 did not result in an unusual number of bears in poor body condition compared to previous years (back to 1993), and adds further support to my conclusion that the sad fate of the bear featured by the media last week was unrelated to “low levels of sea ice,” as Ian Stirling proclaimed. Starvation is unfortunately the most common cause of death for old adult polar bears, which Stirling well knows.
    http://bit.ly/1wJVI1d

'The researchers all claim that WHB polar bears are struggling to survive because of recent sea ice changes but won’t release the 10 years worth of updated information they possess on the bears or the sea ice.'

'We wait, with baited breath, for evidence that the biologists entrusted with collecting and publishing unbiased scientific data have not been deliberately misleading us about the current status of Western Hudson Bay polar bears.'

Polar bears and melting ice: three facts that shouldn’t surprise you

    http://bit.ly/1wJVJCz

If I was invited by USA TODAY to discuss how climate change is affecting polar bears now – summed up in three talking points – this is what I’d say. I’d use some meaningful images rather than cute pictures of cuddly bear cubs and I’d provide links to my work with references and details to back up my answers.
Compare my responses to those supplied by Steve Amstrup in his capacity as spokesperson for Polar Bears International (“Save our sea ice!”) to Jolie Lee at USA TODAY last week, who’s word is expected to be taken as gospel.

    1. Disappearing population
Not disappearing – predicted to disappear, which is a different thing altogether.
In fact, biologists at the IUCN Polar Bear Specialist Group estimate that there must be more than 20,000-25,000 bears in the world, a number that hasn’t changed since 2001.

"Does it ever dawn on you that maybe visiting sites with such an obvious political agenda directly related to the scientific issue at hand isn't the best way to get an objective picture of that science? "

MWinMD, I've looked into the construction of the Hockeystick and it is clearly a fraud. Actual temperature data wasn't included until 1902. That isn't a joke, temperature data isn't included in the chart that forms the very basis of the AGW theory until 1902. That is Bernie Maydoff scale deceit. Feel free to explain why a "scientist" would avoid including the most accurate method of temperature measurement in his data? If you were creating a temperature reconstruction would you avoid thermometer data? If so, why? facts are, the data construction fraud is widespread in the climate "science." The polar bear data is being investigated, the Hockeystick is a clear fraud and now the ocean pH is being exposed. Bottom line, if you have to manufacture data to make prove your theory your theory is a fraud. Prove me wrong. Even using the Hockeystick data you won't be able to prove that the past 100 years is abnormal for the past 20k years. Have at it, prove me wrong.

MWinMD, simply do the research and publish it here. Simply take the ice core data and publish this "evidence" to prove man is causing global warming.
    1) Over the past 20k years, or what ever time period you choose represents the ending of the ice age, calculate the a) mean temperature change per 100 years b) the maximum temperature reached over the past 20k years c) the minimum temperature reached over the past 20k years d) the standard deviation of that 20k years of data e) where the current temperatures fall within the past 20k years and f) does the temperature change over the past 50 and 100 years fall outside 2 standard deviations of the past 20k years? That is a pretty simple scientific proof of the theory that you defend. Forget website that I visit and focus on the actual data and simply apply the scientific method to it. Simply prove your point backed by the actual data. I've done that analysis and I'm 100% sure you won't be publishing the results. If you do, you will simply prove my point that the data simply doesn't support the conclusions.

Here is what you are told in the media. Every claim Holdren makes can be tested, and every point he makes isn't supported by the data. This climate "science" is Wizard of OZ type "science," it all relies on people not looking behind the curtain. Here is Holdren's comments, simply go validate them with the ice core data. I do however agree with his last comment. We truly are lucky that we haven't fallen into an ice age, and if man is preventing the next ice age, we should be producing CO2 lime mad.

Man-made global warming is saving the Earth from “another ice age,” White House Science Advisor Eric Holdren says in a new video promoting man-made global warming theory:

“We know beyond any reasonable doubt that humans are the main cause of the warming of the earth’s climate that has been measured over the past few decades. The warming is unequivocal.

“While the climate of the earth has changed over the millennia as a result of natural factors – principally changes in the tilt and orientation of the earth’s axis and rotation, and in the shape of its orbit around the sun – those changes occur far too gradually to have noticeable effects over a period of mere decades. In their current phases, moreover, they would be gradually cooling the earth – taking us to another ice age – if they weren’t being more than offset by human-caused warming.”

Looks like another Hockeystick fraud on the ocean acidification side. If there was any truth to this nonsense, the data sets supporting the major aspects of these theories wouldn't have to be manipulated:

Mike Wallace is a hydrologist with nearly 30 years’ experience, who is now working on his Ph.D. in nanogeosciences at the University of New Mexico. In the course of his studies, he uncovered a startling data omission that he told me: “eclipses even the so-called climategate event.” Feely’s work is based on computer models that don’t line up with real-world data—which Feely acknowledged in email communications with Wallace (which I have read). And, as Wallace determined, there is real world data. Feely, and his coauthor Dr. Christopher L. Sabine, PMEL Director, omitted 80 years of data, which incorporate more than 2 million records of ocean pH levels.

Feely’s chart, first mentioned, begins in 1988—which is surprising as instrumental ocean pH data has been measured for more than 100 years since the invention of the glass electrode pH (GEPH) meter. As a hydrologist, Wallace was aware of GEPH’s history and found it odd that the Feely/Sabine work omitted it. He went to the source. The NOAA paper with the chart beginning in 1850 lists Dave Bard, with Pew Charitable Trust, as the contact.

BTW, look at where the CO2 comes from, and remember that the "cure" for climate change is to take money from the presumed CO2 producing industrialized nations in the N Hemi and give it to the poorer nations mostly the S Hemi. How long do you think this effort to collectively loot the developed world once people start to pay attention and realize that it is these very nations that are getting the loot are also producing all the CO2? Pretty much a conflict of interests and self defeating approach isn't it? Only the field of climate science would promote taking money from the relatively non-CO2 producing nations and giving the money to the nations that are producing all the CO2. You just gotta love the logic of this "science." This graphic pretty much proves how nonsensical the policies surrounding climate change are.
