  • Option Investing Trade Idea Alert
I have had several people email me asking what to expect from my stock option investing newsletter.

In past Seeking Alpha Instablogs, I have given some general and specific things you can expect from issues of the newsletter on an ongoing basis.

I also send out pertinent updates during the week to subscribers. Often, these will come in the form of alerts. For example, I sent one out this afternoon updating some covered call ideas that, at the moment, are doing well. They take advantage of the present situations in oil and silver.

While my newsletter focuses on strategy, process, education and the mechanics of basic to intermediate-level option trades for long-term, relatively conservative investors. It also includes speculative ideas as well as covered call trade ideas that have the potential to generate considerable returns. Again, I am not putting out a tout sheet, but I do attempt to strike a balance between information investors can use and actionable ideas that can turn profits and bring in income in the near-term.

For questions, details or to subscribe, email me or visit this link at Robert Weinstein's Paid2Trade Website.

  • Options Investing Newsletter Contents, Issue #4, Tuesday Morning
Tomorrow morning (Tuesday, 2/21), subscribers receive Issue #4 of my stock option investing newsletter.

In it, I detail my philosophy and approach, which focuses on long-term goals, not unrealisitic short-term, empy and outrageous promises. I also review the basic options topics we covered in the first three issues (covered calls, using calls to replicate direct stock ownership and ITM versus OTM calls).

We have several trade ideas in this issue including dividend captures from Robert Weinstein and a few covered call ideas for the week. I also update the speculative ideas from previous issues as well as the model portfolio. That will include a discussion about Canada.

Coming next week: We start to cover puts.

In March: We get into option spreads (by popular demand). We also present what I am calling general-to-specific model portfolios. I talk about this in detail in this week's issue, but, in a nutshell...

No two investors are the same. We all have different time horizons, goals, capital and cash flow. As such, what might make sense as a trade or investment for one person might not make sense for another. These portfolios will help drill down common types of situations and then present a broad example allocation ideas, folllowed by a selection of stocks, ETFs and options you could use to get there.

  • Stock Option Investing Newsletter Update/Issue #4
Issue #4 of the stock option investing newsletter hits subscribers email inboxs first thing tomorrow (Tuesday, February 21) morning.

This week we review the basic options topics we discussed in the first three issues, update the model portfolio, offer new dividend captures and covered call ideas, add to the story surrounding last week's speculative idea and more.

In March, we will cover all sorts of basic option spreads. We will also discuss general and specific (using model portfolio selections) portfolios for different types of investors at different stages of life with distinct goals and objectives. In our newsletter we do not tell you to buy this much of that today and sell it for X tomorrow. We take a one size does NOT fit all approach and elevate the discussion from what you get in tout sheets and such.

    To subscribe, visit this link.

When you subscribe you receive a free copy of my basic options eBook. I also send you the last two newsletters and all pertinent update emails from the last week and earlier.

Robert Weinstein and I met in Las Vegas over the weekend. We spent a vast majority of our time there brainstorming and working on plans for the newsletter. We have set several short-term items we intend to get done over the next 1 to 3 months as well as other longer-term ideas that you will see come to between now the end of the year.

We're off to a great start and we intend to continue to offer subscribers more value for their subscription, which costs $29.99 a month or $289.99 for one year.
