Ron Nelson has a PhD in physics from the University of Illinois and is a successful entrepreneur (3 high tech startup companies) and corporate executive (Motorola and Bell Labs). As an undergraduate, Ron minored in economics but pursued an engineering and business career. He published over 80 technical articles in referred journals (Physics Review Letters, Journal of Applied Physics, etc), authored several invited chapters and one physics textbook that is in it's 8th edition. Economics and investing has been a hobby, but he is now putting his "entrepreneurial" energy into economic and investment studies.
