Carbon ETFs / ETNs as a Play on Copenhagen Conference [View article]
Thanks for the overview of these markets. I don't think the typical US investor understands what ASO and GRN are, and that is likely a contributing factor to their economic struggles (failures?) as exchange-traded products. The numerous "flat" areas in the chart above are actually the zero volume days for these funds. There is currently no market for them. At 11am EDT today, we have: GRN bid 400 shrs @ 26.65, ask 100 shrs @ 26.83, vol = zero ASO bid 100 shrs @ 23.03, ask 5000 shrs @ 23.18, vol = zero

You should probably consider getting a new data source. ASO did not trade on 5/8, making it impossible to calculate 1-week performance. In fact, it did not trade on 5/6 or 5/7 either. Additionally, it did not trade on 5/13 or 5/14 of this week.
GWO did not trade on either 5/15 or a week ago on 5/8. What is its 1-week performance based on?
"GRN and ASO have yet to gain traction among the investing public"
You hit the nail on the head there. There is near-zero interest in these products. GRN traded zero shares yesterday and 603 today, while ASO had 560 shares yestersay and zero today.
