    Heisenberg,

Are you blood-kin to the great theoretical physicist? If so some bad Sh*t has transpired in the family genome.

    My condolences.

    Bruce,

I share your concerns about costs of capital and interest rate risks. That's why I like the preferreds here over the common.

Nice work, Mike. The details of the CMBS transaction knocked my socks off, but the current markets bury good news so quickly.

  • Realty Income: A Phenomenal Company But An Overpriced Stock [View article]
What a lot of commotion with so very little said.

Dane Bowler describes an equity that he perceives as fully valued/over valued. He says management is top notch but investors should expect no more than the 4% yield from the monthly dividend. He warns that shares may be vulnerable to a market/multiple contraction which would result in a capital loss or compromised liquidity. He suggests that better opportunities lie elsewhere.

Right or wrong, that's the measure of investment.

Isn't that why we read this stuff?

    Nice work, Mike.

Are you surprised NRF didn't achieve a much lower preferred coupon?

    I'm with you zachdog,

I chose to focus on the B-series because it's a significantly larger issue and presents greater supply.

I actually like the return of capital treatment in that it accommodates tax deferral and transfers the returns to, ideally, a long-term capital gains treatment.

    Thanks for commenting, berloe.

My hope is that the acquirer is actually a stronger credit and could access lower cost capital to redeem the BEE pfds.

Let's hope we get to keep collecting the high BEE dividends for some time to come.

    Thanks for commenting, yanowman.

I read the article you referenced, walked into Dane's office and said, "Brad's got to be blowing a gasket about this!".

Kudos to you for being calm and cool, as always.

    Great work.

  • Why I Am Selling Realty Income's Stock [View article]
    Mike,

    Another gem.

You could have invited more scorn only by substituting "AAPL" for "O".

Determining when to sell(divest), for profit or loss, is one of the most troublesome measures in the investment process. Your well reasoned logic in the examination of "O" in today's market exemplifies why this publication is called Seeking Alpha.

You're the king. We all kow tow.

    Ross
