I've been buying puts on $TSLA while I'm reading the news on how the richest man in Brazil exposed himself with guarantees. Check out this SA article on $OGXPY and how that story developed.

  • Verizon Shareholders Lose Big In The Vodafone Deal [View article]
It's hard to draw lines in the sand. They get washed away so quickly.
Clearly, VZ is a value under $40 and then under $35 if things take longer. It all depends on whether the VZ management team takes seriously the retrenchment and refinance plans to save the company now before interest rates jump further and smartphone prices fall again.

    Hey friend,

Maybe one day an SA article will have the power of that recent famous Carl Icahn tweet on $AAPL. I agree with your point that the authors here should really believe in the investment concept regardless of the required disclosures or what positions the clients have.

As for me, the professional clients using this idea are super sharp, big pocket funds and they make a small consistent spread by hedging against a group of stocks either in the telecom services sector or against the overall market. So basically, the $47-51 collar on the distribution creates a near term range that limits the upside on this stock. All the VZ stock has to do is move up slower on the upside than the long side of the trade and they win.

So I offer this as another way to make money on a deal that still has issues.
