Teslaflight, we referred to Energy Secretary Steven Chu as an ivory-tower eggheaded technocrat, not Elon Musk.

  • Think Twice Before Test-Driving A Tesla [View article]
"So I ask the writer, why shouldn't someone test drive the Tesla Model S? Is it because you're afraid they'll fall in love with it as we have?"

When we buy a car, we just want it to be able to go from Point A to Point B without it breaking down due to cold weather.

We just want to be able to refuel our car whenever we need to, rather than where some technocrat thinks we should go.

And we don't want to spend $50K for a car in which you can't go very fast or very far in.

  • Think Twice Before Test-Driving A Tesla [View article]
All, if Tesla has lost The New York Times, it may want to thing about turning off to the side of the road.

The New York Times shares the same far-left mindset that Barack Obama, Steven Chu, Goldman Sachs and Elon Musk possess.

If the Manhattan Institute published this, we'd be inclined to shrug it off due to the nature of the source. However, this test drive was conducted by a natural ally of Tesla and Company.

  • Lee Enterprises: Sorry Warren, Your Secret Is Out [View article]
Jason, Lee has been paying the higher cash interest expenses since FQ2 FY2012. Lee's estimated Cash interest expense will be $21M-$21.5M in Q2 2013, which is comparable to the $19.1M paid in Q2 2012.

  • Lee Enterprises: Sorry Warren, Your Secret Is Out [View article]
Good question Jason, we have a better answer.

Lee had $54.2M in adjusted FCFs in 2012.

We backed out the $32.4M in debt reorganization costs paid in 2012 and added by $11M in increased interest expenses in Q1 2013 versus Q1 2012.

We assumed that any reduction in interest expenses for Q2 2013-Q4 2013 versus Q2 2012-Q4 2012 would be offset by declines in operating income

Well, Nokia has only sold 700K smartphone devices in North America in Q4 2012. Considering that Nokia only sold 4.4M Lumia POS phones worldwide, it is obviously that Lumia's sales are lagging.

  • Berkshire Hathaway Likes BNY Mellon, We Like State Street Better [View article]
We've gotten tired of having to dignify anonymous trolls who have a grudge against State Street.

You're probably a former fund accountant from State Street's Quincy Office who couldn't hack it and quit before they got around to firing you.

Because we've already addressed this in previous reports.

Because you're not the first person to address STT's legal issues.

We've noticed that a significant portion of your comments have been on STT and GLD (which is distributed by STT). You are not the only person commenting on State Street's legal issues that has such a pattern of comments.
