  • Gulf Keystone Petroleum Valuation In Line With Regional Competitors [View article]
Thanks for your article. Always felt Gkp was overvalued. Went short,at £1.87 based on similar analysis and went long hoil at 1.55. The issue with Iraq is government unstable and kurdistan operates in legal vacuum since the contracts are not with central government.
80p is not guaranteed, civil war or a new wave of disputes and or lower oil prices combined with failing to meet productiom targets all can mean that we see 60p before the company stabilises.

I didnt know SA publishes analysis on such stock

Feel free to write about your alternative model. Mine worked so far. It is based on text book examples of valuing company based on discounting perpetual future income.

I like simple models. Made me buy msft at $29 and sell at $37. Otherwise how do you know at what price it is worth selling your stock?

The upside is $4 in the short term... That's what the discount growth model is showing.

One comment, pent up demand lots of unused cash in corporate accounts.
    that's where I completely agree.
However, James ever heard of lots pent up demand causing inflation?

I am buying gold and commodity stocks.
Your conclusion is incorrect, we will have growth but mostly inflation.

  • AMD: Geeks Gone Wild [View article]
I am log time AMD fan but no longer shareholder. I really believe in the current OpenCL solutions on AMD GPU hardware, simply because since Tahiti it is excellent GPGPU for the money, running circles around Nvidia. Never again do we need to buy Nvidia for desktop GPU acceleration. However as a shareholder I agree with Ashraff. AMD is great at making good tech, but they are bad at making money. Selling Tahiti and OpenCl acceleration cheap is good for the enthusiast but bad for the shareholders... There is nothing in AMD roadmap that proves to me they will be making big money.... It proves they wont go bankrupt and are worth say $4

  • Talks over Iran's nuclear program stall [View news story]
No other country has been under so much pressure just for enrichment. Obama is doing the correct approach of inspect and verify as enrichment is not illegal. There is only one hypocritical country in the MidEast which has not signed the NPT who doesnt want the people under its rule. It wants to ethnic cleanse the natives. And it is currently too powerful to be sanctioned, but things will soon be changing.
