Hi! I’m Ken and green is my favorite color, both in the color sense and the environmental sense. I am a strong advocate of investing in renewable energy technologies and products. I believe in leaving this wonderful earth a better place then when we inherited it. Why? I know it is important that we take responsibility for our future generations because we brought them here. We can not leave a mess for them to clean up. More importantly, by making decisions to be green, we create an environment where all of us can thrive, now and for many future generations to come.
My interests: Renewable Energy, Electric Cars, Tennis, Hanging out with my wife and son, Investing.
Favorite Quote: "There is a reason this moment in time is called the present. Live every moment as if were a gift from our creators, because it is."
I'm a fuzzy thinker. I always knew I thought about things a little differently than most people and when I first heard about fuzzy logic, I said that's me. I collect large amounts of seemingly disassociated information and use it in making decisions and drawing conclusions.
I'm a degreed electrical engineer who spent 35+ years in two of the heartlands of technology, Boston and Silicon Valley.
My strength lies in understanding technology and how it will impact other business areas. My biggest weakness is that I am often too early.
The perfect hedge. I want to be the “house” not a player in the game, make money on both sides. The perfect hedge is a work of art.
Current retired, living somewhere really nice.
I've consulted to and worked for numerous “name” companies, sometimes when they were still in two bay “tilt-ups”. I've served as a staff engineer, consultant, data analyst, head-hunter and “technical prognosticator”.
Things I have done;
Set up the first off-shore production line for a well known US technology company in the 70s. Was a technical analyst for a venture capital firm. Used one of the first IBM XT desktop computers ever commercially shipped to create the business model that ultimately became a billion US$ company. Helped ship the first Terabyte storage computer ever built. Used data found on the internet in the 80s to discover and prove how sunspots crashed computers. Head-hunted candidates that Steve Jobs interviewed just before hiring John Sculley.
A former electrician turned plant design engineer, I took an interest in business and finished earning my BBA with honors from Northwood University upon retiring in 2002. I stay active in three charities, and recently resigned as board treasurer for an organization dedicated to the social, spiritual, and recreational development of persons with developmental impairment or similar symptoms due to trauma. Special Ministries of Livingston County is a United Way recipient and 401(c)3 qualified. Please bequeath them after doing your due diligence.
I have decades of experience in investment banking IT designing, building, and supporting trading systems. Obtained MBA in finance following a few years of experience and two engineering degrees.
Took advantage of my last position’s being outsourced to focus on actively managing my investments. My primary interest is in executing and enhancing highly analytical real time hedge trading models and related tools that have proven effective in most markets and have tolerated and exploited the two most recent major corrections. Since I focus on analyzing statistical market behavior, comparative option mechanics, and dynamic capital management, I tend to down play traditional investment analysis appraches and certainly avoid individual stock selection.
Any comments I submit will be rare and will not be driven by a commercial agenda.
