    Just read the subheadings in the article and you will get the gist of it. Essentially it is: 1. Apple is a value stock, 2. Value is in its earnings power, 3. It is worth $475/share and finally, 4. Let me speculate why the market is undervaluing Apple.

    The message is quite clear. Apple is undervalued and it is worth $475/share.

    I have a hard time taking $47 B in long term investments at face value since it is almost certainly not sufficiently liquid. I typically err towards keeping my risk down in such cases. In this case, a 13.4 P/E or a 11 P/E does not make an iota of difference in my PV calculation. Apple is undervalued precisely due to its earnings power (as you say, its PEG ratio), which is not part of a classical value investor's lexicon.
