A Safer Way To Play Nokia
Thanks StockMarketMike! I agree with you, the upside is huge once market starts believing in the turnaround story. However, I'm not sure if the timing's right. My base case is, that Nokia isn't there yet - product wise and that they still need to invest heavily to close the gap to its peer. Scrapping the dividend and, instead, favor strengthen their balance sheet is prove of Nokia being cautious about the future itself. I think the management is doing the right thing - use funds to build up reserves and to reinvest into the future. However, I also think, this strategy implies a couple of quarters more to go. So far it seems top line is recovering. I'm waiting to see margins recovering as well.
