Excellent analysis Doug. I have been dollar cost averaging on gold for years and just recently did the same for silver and zinc.

Still like the silver, platinum, and zinc trades. Any pullback in silver is a buying opportunity in my opinion for the long-term.

  • Are You A Base Metal Growth Bull Or A Gold Gloom-And-Doomer? [View article]
I agree that Treveria Mining Corp. (TREVF.PK) and Donner Metals Ltd. (DONFF.PK) should benefit from a zinc price run in 2014 or 2015. I also believe a small exploration company called Zinco do Brasil (ZNBR) should benefit as well.

I also found this on their website:

The mining rights for the Salobro project were purchased from Vale SA, for which Vale SA conducted exploration work including 34 drill holes for a total of 13,159 meters of diamond drilling up to 400 meters deep. The assumptions by Vale and an independent mining consultant estimate for indicated and inferred resources (in situ) of 5.4 million tons and grades of 6.24% Zinc and 1.19% Lead for only 1,000 hectares of the 1,685 hectares total area of Salobro.

The Company expects the Salobro reserves to increase by 30 – 50% during the exploration drillings scheduled for Q2 and Q3 of 2013 to prove up reserves to 43-101 standard. The Salobro project is expected to go into production in Q1 of 2016 and to produce in excess of 30,000 metric tons of Zinc and 5,000 metric tons of Lead per year during the mine-life of 10 years, with an IRR greater than 24% and a payback of 3.5 years from commencement of operation.

  • Opportunities In The Zinc Sector [View article]
From what I found in public filings (http://bit.ly/12ssTn0) the still have the mining rights in Salobro. If you read the biography of one of their Board Members (Juvenil Felix) you will the see the Vale connection in Brazil and I imagine that had something to do with the interest to acquire the rights. According to their website, some preliminary drilling will occur in Q2/Q3 and should provide some good insight. I am actively looking more into this company as I find the players involved very intriguing.

  • Opko Rises On Frost's Conviction Buy And Management Confidence [View article]
I also saw in an 8-K on ZNBR that his Frost Gamma Investment Trust has a position in the company, a relatively unheard of Brazilian zinc exploration company. Watching it closely as the "Frost" effect appears to be hot these days.
