  • Is Herbalife Risking Revenues And Earnings With GoHerbalife.com? [View article]
    Son and Frank,

The process of "standardized" sites was in development several years prior to Ackman's assertions. This is a fact. It has nothing to do with the FTC.

  • An Open Letter To Ms. Julie Hyman: Bloomberg TV Reporter (And Any Others Who Care To Read) [View article]
Once again, if the accusations Mr. Ackman makes turn out to be accurate, as determined by regulators and the courts, Herbalife should be held accountable. If the accusations he has made turn out to be false, as determined by regulators and the courts, Pershing Square should be held accountable. This is why we have regulators.

Attempts to conduct a public flogging for financial gain is wrong, regardless of the self-appointed, altruistic belief in one's cause.

Mr. Stewart's drama queen rants, personal attacks, and opinions are just that, and in my opinion, devalues Seeking Alpha as a legitimate source of financial analysis.

The fact that Ackman included Herbalife's internal corporate documents in his presentation is very troubling. These documents are confidential materials belonging to the Company and no descent x-Employee should be passing them out unless they are part of a legal action. Regardless of Ackman's beliefs it's sickening how low he will go.

I'm going with my original belief that Ackman is a bright individual, but he has lost his way.

Perhaps he was really making the presentation to regulators because they won't give him a private audience. If not, I can’t see how anything that comes out of his mouth can be considered anything but self-promotion and manipulation. He’s either tone deaf or his team is worthless.

  • Synopsis: Bill Ackman's Herbalife Presentation-Round 2 [View article]
Rule of Business: Under Promise, Over Deliver.

I was stunned by the poor quality of Ackman and team's presentation. The messaging, the slides and verbal was horrific. The ex-Bloomberg reporter was a mess.

Matt, once again you need a lesson.

F1 market share in the US is much less than 30%. Thirty-percent is worldwide. Many countries have little to no competition.

Slim Fast has been dying for years, but back in its day was a dominant brand. I recall reading is was for sale as Unilever exits a lot of food categories.

  • Dismantling Herbalife's Bizarre New PR Effort [View article]
Does anyone find it disturbing that a contributor (QTR) is criticizing a PR effort of a Company while hiding behind the veil of a fake screen name. Makes it all dirty when people throw mud while hiding in the shadows.

I don't agree with most of what Mat Stewart writes, but at least he has the chops to be a man about it.

    Matt,

By your logic because your neighbor was found to beat his wife, you must also be guilty of beating your wife. After all, the guy in the next town, who doesn't know you or your wife, said so.

It is immature that you repeatedly preach that an investigation leads to guilt, and guilt leads to a company being put out of business. If that were the case JP Morgan, BofA, and hundreds of other companies would be gone!!

When was the last time an investment advisor over promised and under-delivered? When was the last time someone said, "if you want to keep your doctor you can." While one bad behavior does not justify another, the government's first course of action is a fine coupled with a regulatory solution.

You continue to incorrectly make the assumption, often stated as fact, the Herbalife executives sit around the room and conspire.
