I have invested for my own account for 30 years. Practiced as an attorney, but before that I was in Physics. Stanford undergrad and UC Berkley graduate school. Still have a huge and continuing interest in all things science and technology.
I believe in owning equities long term. I hope to let the success of the company over a multi year period make money for me. I try to do the Buffett thing for the most part, though I am occasionally seduced by a good story. I very rarely put on a short, usually in what I think is an overvalued company selling a fad product. Not too interested in bonds, other than special situations.
