Steve Bank is an independent investor, reviewer, and computer
consultant. His broad experience includes self-representation in
courts of law, undergraduate major declarations in classics, music,
and sociology, and many miles behind the wheel of an automobile
on North American highways. He's quadrilingual but has yet to
learn to operate a Chinese language keyboard.
His residence outside of home began in 1989 when he enrolled in a
prestigious university in California. A few years later, he was
thrown into the world of securities due to a fortuitious turn of
events. His free time allowed him to delve deep into the computer
industry's workings and as such he attended many, many computer
conferences just a few short blocks from his home in downtown San
Jose, the heart of Silicon Valley. These included DiskCon,
MacWorld, DSL Con and many others.
Over the years, he's come to understand not just why people trade
but how. In fact, he's a very intuitive investor but also one
prone to making very big mistakes due to a lack of experience in
the daily, six-and-a-half hour trading lifestyle.
He is closely following an advisory but maintains no stock
positions; he trades only in stock options and intends to delve
further into futures and other derivatives. He intends to devote a
large portion of his free time researching various authors who
focus on economic concepts such as international monetary policy
and stock and options trades.
He lives alone in Oregon where the water is clean (or so he hopes)
but the electricity expensive. He believes the economies of many
countries are in disarray and hopes to do something about it in the
future.
