  • A Few Simple Events Will Help Solitario's Value Immensely [View article]
Solitario will probably convert Sandstorm's NSR to a gold stream, which would be a smart move IMO.

Nice article. The pullback is a gift. I mentioned them in a previous article and never actually bought in, but now looks like a really good time to enter.

Nice article. While I prefer a few other silver miners, I certainly think GPL is a good play on silver.

  • Sandstorm Gold Shares Are Pricing In An Aurizona Expansion And Have Embedded Downside Risk [View article]
As of the latest Colossus quarterly report, Mining Interests = $4.2 million property and equipment, $32.2 million in equipment, $4.6 million land, and the Serra Pelada mine listed as $263.4 million. And The latest estimate given was $70 million to get project to production.

  • Sandstorm Gold Shares Are Pricing In An Aurizona Expansion And Have Embedded Downside Risk [View article]
Good effort here, but an incomplete and unfair overall analysis in my opinion. A few things stood out to me:

    - You've prescribed zero value to Colossus, when in fact Sandstorm will own roughly 30% of Colossus in the restructuring. "the restructuring is currently ongoing and when complete, will enable Colossus to pursue additional financing or a sale process for Serra Pelada."

If a sale of the assets were to bring in $60 million (remember that includes all the plant, property and equipment, which is actually worth much more than that, and the gold-linked notes debt has been converted into equity) then Sandstorm would net $18 million. Maybe the sale will bring in less than $60m, but Sandstorm will still get something back.

    - Sandstorm has a 1.6% net smelter returns royalty ("NSR") on the production from Serra Pelada.

    - You've entirely miss the mark on Bachelor Lake. First, you've used a very outdated production graph. Next, you have completely ignored recent drill result at Bachelor Lake:

    - METANOR INTERSECTS 13.4 g/T OVER 9.5 M AT BACHELOR

    - METANOR EXCAVATES 10.7 G/T OVER 33.5 M AT BACHELOR

    - METANOR EXPANDS THE DEPOSIT AT BACHELOR BY INTERSECTING 10.4 g/T OVER 17.1 M

The Bachelor Lake mine could be a real game-changer for Sandstorm in 2014 and beyond, and I feel that the mine can easily produce 80K+ ounces annually.

    - You've failed to mention potential organic growth opportunities, most notably Mt. Hamilton which has a NSR buy-back option for a stream.

    - On an EV/Cash flow basis, which is the most important way to value a streaming company (in my opinion), Sandstorm is trading at roughly 7.3 times 2016 cash flow ( and 6 if Aurizona is ramped up). This is much lower than Sandstorm's peers.

  • Alexandria Minerals: 1.4 Million Ounces Of Gold In Canada Valued At Just $1 [View article]
It's a tiny company, so yes it is a penny stock. The company has legitimate properties, and major third party validation from a few major mining companies - Agnico Eagle ($5 billion+ market cap) and IAMGOLD ($2+ billion). I am definitely a long-term investor in the company, I've owned shares for a few years and continue to buy more here. I'm sorry you feel that way.
