ABOUT
Steve Szirom is a semiconductor industry analyst and management consultant with over 35+ years of international and business experience in the semiconductor industry. His consulting specialties in microelectronics are tracking and analyzing startups, market and strategic business planning, investment analysis, organizational development, integrated marcom strategies, international issues and business development. He is a founding member of the Bellingham Angel Group located in the Pacific Northwest. He assists startup management in positioning their emerging ventures on a faster growth track and avoiding pitfalls.

In 1969, Szirom started his career with Motorola Semiconductor (Freescale ...More Semiconductor) in international marketing (Asia and Europe) with responsibility for analog ICs (consumer and professional) and later in strategic marketing for power devices. While at Motorola, he was analog IC marketing manager for Europe based in Toulouse, France. Following his career at Motorola, Szirom joined Signetics/Philips Semiconductor as international memory marketing manager working closely with the European semiconductor unit of Philips.

Szirom incorporated HTE Research, Inc. ( www.hteresearch.com) in 1984 as a technology market research and management consulting firm. He founded InsideChips ( www.insidechips.com) in 2000 as a division of HTE Research to track and analyse emerging semiconductor ventures and techologies for executives in the financial and electronics communities.

He received his BSEE degree from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. Attended the MBA program at Arizona State University. He holds an active Coast Guard Master's License and is an avid sailor.
