"In my opinion, infrastructure spending will not have a big impact or could even be counterproductive, since the USA already has a decent infrastructure and needs to take advantage of this good infrastructure, by putting up some manufacturing units so people can get jobs. "

We need infrastructure to reduce dependance on foreign oil. Our highways need repair. We need more mass transit.

the usa has no choice but to keep the banks afloat - spending taxpayer money for this is a lesser evil. but i am in the group that believes the bubbles must be left to unwind with little government intervention other than to mitigate some of the effects to the citizens.
