    1) use the public as reporters. then you only need editors to fact check - you keep your staff mostly in the office.

    2) deliver 'paper' to cellphone or email address complete with ads for free.

    the print media is in the middle of a firestorm and must radically alter its method - it must lower costs and improve content at the same time.
