  • Option ARM Time Bomb About To Explode [View article]
    in terms of the whole financial mess, this is not big money. but i guess when you are weakened, it will just take one more straw to break the camel's back.

  • How Much Longer Can Money Managers Hang in Behind Energy? [View article]
    too bad the analysis here was intermixed with political crap. get a life people, the negatives of both candidates drastically outnumber the strengths. you are only arguing which type of death you prefer - but we are pretty much screwed either way.

  • The Election's Impact on the Market [View article]
    i agree a president has little power except to make war (foreign policy). mccain will have the same handlers as bush. so what we are simply voting for here is a continuing of the same foreign policy or change.

  • Do 'Experts' Really Know What Is Going On? [View article]
    i believe the situation can deteriorate significantly from today depending how many shoes fall and whether they are anticipated. i am planning for the worst but hoping for the best also. i will bet heavily that the situation will not be much better a year from today. so my view is things will not get better, will probably remain the same, but if it gets worse it will be really worse.

    we can now hope that the economic medicine being dished out will cure the disease, or is it dogmatic bulls**t which will produce an economic death spiral.

  • Which Improves First - The Stock Market or the Economy? [View article]
    the market always goes up before the economy thanks to the permabulls who continue to push up. the issues in this downturn have not been resolved yet and as each shoe falls, the permabulls are beaten back. i would like to see a correlations on reasons for the stock market recessions to the times to recovery.

  • Financials and TED Spread Could Signal a Bottom for Corporate Profit Declines [View article]
    let me of the ten leading economic indicators are negative. do not believe mathematical perversions which point to market directions. the bottom of the current mess has not been reached, and until it does and extent of the the damage is understood, any upturn will be accompanied by and equal ride down. take a vacation.

  • The Risk Of A Run On The Banking System [View article]
    putting today in perspective with the savings and loan mess, we still seem to have only 100 banks today on the watch list versus 800 to 900 banks on the watch list then.

  • Why Bubbles Can't Be Stopped [View article]
    i am on board with alajac. i don't know if 1/2 percent is a good number, but some reward or penalty has to implemented to promote long term investment which is healthy for economic growth.

  • The Reason to Ignore Most Economists [View article]
    between the fed and the president's market intervention task force, i do not see much downward movement from here in the market. the real problem is there is no upside. because we will have no bloodletting, we cannot have a strong market recovery. the fundamentals which caused this mess need repairing. the economy will limp like a three legged deer from now until hell freezes over.

  • The Pelosi Factor - Cramer's Mad Money (8/25/08) [View article]
    let me explain the markets.......
    1) little thought given to underlying fundamentals;
    2) too much pressure on boosting stock prices;
    3) mathematical theory is king.

    the markets will take off again too early and fall like a rock.

  • Don't Confuse the Stock with the Company, or the Market with the Economy [View article]
    i also want to commend your article. i know that you must buy the stock and not the company. but coming from the operations side in a company, this has always seemed wrong to me. should we ponder how healthy this approach is to a companies long term competitiveness?
