    buy and hold has not worked in recent history (like 1966 to 1982) - but it is too far outside of our memories. we seem to be working in 16 year cycles, and our last one began in 1999.

    buy and hold will work again. my opinion is that this is the period to be concentrating on stocks with dividends and bonds where you get reasonable returns.
