Edward, this article is the reason i am on your watchlist - well thought out and reasoned. i helps that i agree. i helps that i also blog we are in a major reset - a new normal.

however, my mind goes back to past recessions. there is always a group of naysayers who claim things will not return to the past levels. but the economy always rebounded. i have never been in that naysayer group - but i am today.

i openly wonder if there is something we are missing. every point you make is correct. but are there enough positive drivers to overcome this. i don't see them.
