  • No Words from the CFTC About the Regulatory Elephant in the Commodities Room [View article]
Until such limits are imposed on the monetary metals this CFTC remains on Madame deFarge's "list".

  • What if You Don't Trust the Government with Your Portfolio? [View article]
Excellent! It's about time more of us rant about the fact that the economy is obviously no longer anything but political manipulation. IMO the best thing one can do in this "economy" is protect one's self from it in the manner you describe. Except RE, I don't think it's tie to buy RE yet.

  • Wednesday Outlook: Commodities, Emerging Markets [View article]
Buy the rumor, sell the news, if you're a trader.

If you're an "investor", capital preservation is still the order of the day. Capital is going into hiding all over the planet, as it rushes into gold and Treasuries.

MOO and DBA are starting to look like nibbles, but I'm not convinced yet. I've been too early before.

  • ETF Update: Bearish Dollar, Biofuel ETFs, Gold and Silver ETFs [View article]
Yes by all means allow the government's tax code to prevent you from protecting yourself from the government's debasement of your currency. Be a good boy and put your money in Dow stocks where the IB's and their government cronies want it. They are happy to sell you their shares as they know what is coming next.

Anyway, buying the ETF's is a poor substitute for buying and holding the real thing. Buy a few thousand ounce Comex silver bars and bury them in your back yard. This is substantially less risky and more profitable than stocks, and will be for many years to come. If you don't want them to get dirty, then pay someone reputable for allocated (and ONLY allocated) storage. But please take physical deilvery.
