Talley Léger is the founder and investment strategist of Macro Vision Research (MVR), a trusted source of objective, independent, thematic, macro research. MVR’s mission is to add value to institutional investors’ decision-making processes by generating creative portfolio themes and actionable investment ideas for the major asset classes, with a focus on equities.
Mr. Léger’s vision guides the overall direction of the firm, and shapes its investment strategy and financial market research. He employs a practical indicator-based approach, using economics to draw conclusions on the financial markets and to help investors navigate the macro drivers of financial market performance.
His professional experience includes prominent strategist roles at Barclays Capital, Lehman Brothers, ISI, Merrill Lynch, RBC Capital Markets and Brown Brothers Harriman.
Mr. Léger’s the co-author of the revised second edition of the book, “From Bear to Bull with ETFs”. He has been quoted widely in Associated Press, Bloomberg, Business Week, Dow Jones Newswires, and The Wall Street Journal. He has appeared on Bloomberg TV and Business News Network TV, and has spoken on Bloomberg Radio. He has been a guest columnist for the Big Picture and Data Watch on Bloomberg Brief Economics, and a contributing author on Seeking Alpha.
He's a member of the Global Interdependence Center (GIC), and has been a guest speaker on panels at the United Nations, sponsored by the British Consulate for the benefit of the Royal College of Defence Studies. He has contributed educational content to the Stamford CFA Society’s web site, and has served as a speaker and university relation to Sacred Heart University.
Mr. Léger earned a M.Sc. in Financial Economics and a B.Mus. from Boston University in 2000 and 1998, respectively.
