The country now consumes 40% of the metal mined every year. In 2010 <a href="http://minerals.usgs.gov/minerals/pubs/commodity/copper/myb1-2010-coppe.pdf" rel="nofollow">19.4 million tons</a> of the metal were used globally. Since 2004 the company has posted 8 consecutive years of growth. It currently has three operating mines, Guanacevi, Bolanitos, and El Cubo.
