That is not really a viable option. The government is using this as a cover up for one of the biggest corruption cases (which was uncovered by German authorities). The foreign policy is overextended and directionless. Plus with the top cadre of naval officers in prison as a consequence of the case of a trial that purports they were plotting a coup, the navy is strategically incapacitated. There are serious questions regarding even the viability of naval escorts to Turkish ships let alone any armed conflict. Plus, the heightening terror in the east already keeps the army relatively busy (god knows what will happen to terror attacks if there is an actual regional conflict).
