    I am not sure about the "key". The US fleet is getting pretty old and the MPG improvements are becoming real, so the US should see a pick up in the recent annual normalized trend. Non-US markets? Europe is short term weak, and more advanced along the MPG curve. Asia, of course. My favorite would be Fiat, but we have to wait until the Italian fiasco sorts out.

    Jim, F has been taken down with the overall market PLUS the impact it had on prospects for unfunded liabilities. The last number that was thrown out last week was around $15 billion. The rebound has the same cause. Longer term, it is too early to differentiate between companies. They will first all rebound together with the sector. Then we'll have to see whether GM has indeed made progress on the engineering / cost side. From my readings of the Engineering press, it is on track for a big P&L improvement - even though I do like F cars better.
