  • Buffett's PR Disaster [View article]
Ah you are just throwing Buffett under the bus. It is the easy thing to do. Always looking for someone to blame. While it is true that Buffett knows more than he probably lets on, he gets rich by actually profiting off of others misfortunes. He buys when stocks are dirt cheaps and buys out companies that are struggling. To say he is some Mother Theresa and that he should be held to some higher standards is ludicrous.

  • Thursday Outlook: What, Me Worry? [View article]
You think there was much certainty in 1933 - 1935...not at all. Yet, people are resilient and innovative and smart. If there is one thing I love about humans, it is that when we are faced with any crisis. We make it happen.

Everyone speaks of a bearish decline. Yet, what occurs after every bear market? A bull market. I don't understand this fascination with pessimism. When the market falls, it comes back. I wish we could just BELIEVE a little bit in our institutions.

  • What Would Happen if the CFTC Limited Energy Speculation? [View article]
Yes capping speculation is long overdue. Yes it is necessary. Here is the thing. We have had regulations and rules for years and years. You know what happens? People are inventive and creative. They will do anything to make money to find the way around a law. If you think this cap from the CFTC will really make a dent in speculation in run ups and all that...you are dead wrong. The market is one big speculation, one big way to make money based on hopes, specs, etc. What that means is simply that you can't regulate what the market is...so in all honesty its really not that key.

  • Green Mountain Coffee Roasters: Short Opportunity Brewing [View article]
    AntiAlpha -

Actually it is smart to do because it shows you exactly the issue with GMCR. You've proven my point. Packaged foods don't grow like this...why because of competition and because once the market is established...where is there to go? Tech has tons of companies with high P/E because they can continue to grow with entry in new tech and new markets. So, GMCR has a high valuation in a low growth industry.

I am glad you have found my article entertaining. Everytime you visit, you're making me $.

What about Google/Android? They are almost as big as Apple now...You don't even mention them. In the latest month they stole 2 percentage points from Blackberry in market share and added 5% growth.

Very great comment. I agree. This market will not be successful until there are less players...M&A. Yet, people have been saying M&A was on its way for a long time. Confusing industry...

  • Aunt Minnie Indicators Flashing, And What to Do About It [View article]
Geithner learned it from the Great Depression. 50% of all banks went under from the start of the GD to its end. We have had less than 1%. The banks are the key to American success, and you are right that Europe needs to learn that. I think they will and are...as we saw with Spain.

The TARP and other funds that have helped banks was crucial to the ability for the USA not to tailspin into a very long and extended self-induced Depression. Now, we need the rest of the world to help out, so they don't drag us down with them.

  • Job Losses Signaling Recession Isn't Over [View article]
This jobs data sparks a thought. Do we need to rethink this stimulus?

    Here is the issue:

Now all of that might make some sense if we had been spending Stimulus l but so
far official estimates put the money out the door at about 10% of what’s been
appropriated. That of course leads one to the conclusion that maybe we need to
rethink the whole thing. If it’s that hard for the government to spend money then
perhaps we just need to put it in the hands of people that know how to go about
doing that. I’m referring to the American consumer, of course.

  • Salesforce.com Has Limited Upside, Competition Rising/Margins Not Growing [View article]
    Thank you for the comment.

It's not a Buy as we have shown by its price target analysis. It's also not a Sell because its not overly overvalued. So, its a Hold. Given that we are a financial analysis firm, Buy/Sell/Hold is our language.

Instead of attacking, we would suggest taking a look at some of our other stuff, and you will notice that we do not ever have similar price targets/ratings as the other firms. We do price targets all based on mathematical computations without any interest in fitting into the Wall Street model.

  • 3 Stocks To Buy, 2 Stocks To Sell: What's Next For The Market [View article]
What I love about this comment is that it blatanly shows you didn't even read through the recommendation. It suggest only shorting if AVP failed 13.75. It doesn't say my company is short. It doesn't say anyone should short the company yet. It simply suggests a potential breakout candidate.

I love to buy stocks at their highs and then lose? Please provide some exact examples of this happening.

  • Top 12 Solar Companies: Which Are the Best Bet for Investors? [View article]
The price target we have designed does not take into account P/E. Rather, we take the P/E ratio into account when we are determing our rating of Buy, Sell, Hold.

Not that is matters to anyone, but the Value score was based on the new P/E ratio (p/e at 5+) as well as our Buy, Sell, Hold rating.

The thesis and picture were done by a separate part of our company, and they made a mistake.

We do apologize for this mistake, and we have contacted SA already to make the change.

We made a mistake with LDK.

We apologize and will correct the data.

It will not change our opinion on PT, but it may change our thesis.

This is a new venture we are working on, and we have learned some vital information from this.

    We do appreciate the feedback.
