You remained cool, calm, and collective with the weird bounce on Ackman day and now look; HLF crashing in after hours and heading to new lows.

  • Why Are Herbalife's Competitors Channeling Homer Simpson? [View article]
For those of you who missed it, Matt's point was obviously that Herbalife is not seen as competition because there is barely any demand for Formula 1 as an actual product other than to move the pyramid scheme along.

If Herbalife consisted of inventory loading of $5000 worth of ball point pens at ridiculous prices, BIC and Papermate wouldn't consider Herbalife as competition either.

  • Update: J.C. Penney Invades Brooklyn With New Store [View article]
The word "symbol" I thought was a giveaway that the single store in and of itself wouldn't turn around the company but rather it's a "symbol" of a change in corporate strategy.

I guess I had to spell it out.

  • Update: J.C. Penney Invades Brooklyn With New Store [View article]
I didn't think I had to spell it out this much. I recommend reading the details of that one store. It's not the opening of one store that is a symbol but the way they are going about that one store is a symbol of a new corporate culture.

If you still don't get it, I probably can't help you.

  • Is Herbalife The Next Equinox? [View article]
"HLF, is run by professionals with the intent of moving as much product to the end consumer as possible."

And I have "intent" of winning the lottery. Too bad in practice I won't win the lottery and too bad in practice HLF doesn't move much product to end consumers but rather to distributors who are part of the pyramid scheme.

I'm glad to here that HLF has a more pleasant culture though as it bilks millions of victims through an illegal scheme. There are no "tens of millions of customers." That's just bogus.

Herbalife already sells jars of fresh air although they are more like barrels of hot air.
