    I would be extremely surprised if they haven't flow him over yet...

    If Tim and his crew are as smart as I think they are, they've already planned out the worse case scenario.

    Could AAPL have done this refresh so early to clear out next to ensure you work on the software revamp?

    GOOG and MSFT's world are about to be tipped....

    IF PC is in a decline....there goes the real estate for GOOG to leech onto...

    AAPL's SIRI combined with maps and passbook will be the key. When the day comes wherein you can plan something using those 3 key Apple functionality....you will know we have been disrupted again.

    Samsungs world is also about to be ripped....cannot wait to see how the next 4 quarters for them unfolds with Apple's decreasing order.

    I wish I knew skip! Sometimes I think there IS a concentrated effort done by Samsung to turn the tables on public opinion regarding Apple.

    What better way to try to kill a famous brand than to cast doubt and tarnish its image?

    Sounds crazy...but in Asia (more prevalent there); it is not uncommon for companies to "donate" money to sway opinions.

    Samsung's history of "controlling" its interests would make the late Steve Jobs look like a saint.

    One only needs to hear the argument of the haters on why fanbois buy an "under powered" computer vis a vis the latest and greatest i7s with 16GB RAMs and etc...

    Unless you use a Mac...it is really hard to appreciate how it could perform so well with lesser specs. It boils down to the OS.

    I asked a softie rep at a Windows store...how much free storage is there on a 32GB Surface? You will be surprised on how bloated that OS is....

    It is now 2 weeks or less...

    RE: trading the old iPhones
    this is one of the most interesting phenomenons that haters never understand. Try doing that with a Droid!

    An S3 still costs almost the same as the i5...so, I think those who buy the "cheaper" phones aren't really the market Apple is catering to.

    LOL...

    Interestingly enough, the "other guy" seems have to legions of fans in the Street.

    I'd be happy to see new 52 week highs at least once every year for the next 10 years!

    Thank you all for dropping by...

    I wanted to address a few PMs that came my way....

    RE: where can we post estimates?
    http://bit.ly/T7mIRw
    It is a members' only forum; their estimates are quoted in Apple 2.0. I don't have a membership with them nor have I ever done any Apple estimates.

    RE: beehoves
    I didn't want to confuse anyone; I thought the word was appropriate. My kids have warned me about using strange words!

    A few things to share....
    1. Android phones, by design (i.e. "free" platform with multiple manufactures and priced cheaply), will almost always outsell the iPhone today and in the years to come as long as it stays relevant. Therefore, any news about it "outselling" Apple is pure noise.

    2. As I've written before, Windows powered phones will provide the more interesting opposition. Google isn't making money on its mobile platform. Given its lack of transparency (I wonder why), I believe Google's mobile strategy isn't providing the same returns as its Desktop strategy. ONLY Samsung is benefiting huge. How do YOU think that story will end? Are you surprised GOOG bought MOT and HTC suddenly found peace with AAPL? I would be very surprised if Scott doesn't end up doing something with Sammy.

    3. I've spend the past 2 weeks goofing around with Windows 8 and the Surface. IMHO, MSFT totally screwed this up. No doubt the OS is beautiful to look at. A confusing mess to use...it certainly is. I now understand what Tim was saying about the "toaster" analogy....it goes beyond the hardware. If the pattern of lacklustre adoption (upgrades) and PC sales results continues...this will provide AAPL with a huge opportunity. This makes me understand even more why so much product refresh were done prior to Oct 26th.

    I have to catch a flight....good luck to all!

    @ronin
    ...I know...now, the pundits are concluding that the iPad mini is a "fail" based on the not so long line ups ala iPhone launch...

    @oldwarrior
    ...the iPad resale are actually helpful as they only serve to extend the ecosystem while at the same time helping users migrate to the new mini.

    @scott
    ...lol I know, just cracks me up how our society is these days..

    @stockgal
    ...I couldn't find the link but it appears that GOOG is going to be sued for using FRAND patents from their MOT purchase in their patent dispute claims against other companies.

    Officially, we are at 200MVA which must be causing pain (yep for me too). This is where we will hear more about the begining of the end of Apple.

    my take on this is that the "market" (consumers) will ultimately dictate the size preference. Once that happens; AAPL will most likely ride that size by refining the features.

    How will we know? volume sold.

    Would the mini been possible if AAPL didn't move to the lightning doc?

    ...I have no issue with "analyst" providing their opinions. the sad part of our "system" is that you've got a whole bunch of these players who may have never ever run a business before (let alone a half a trillion operation) trying to "estimate" what a company should do.

    Apple, IMHO, is stuck in a crappy position. They are accused of "sandbagging" their estimates (hindsight) despite the fact that they can only forecast what they can see in their pipeline.
