Dollar Debased Like Never Before

I think the US and the people that live there get a lot of benefit from being the world's reserve currency. I think if we lose reserve currency status a lot of people in the US are going to be worse off. I think the world gets some benefit from having a strong reserve currency. So my vote is to balance the federal budget, stregnthen market mechanisms in the US, control the US money supply, and keep our reserve currency status. But we lost the last election so something very important (reserve currency status) is about to be given away by the unwitting and will make us and our children worse off in the long run.
