  • How Much Is 'Security' Worth To You?: Annuities Vs. Dividend Portfolio, Part 2 [View article]
I suspect buying an annuity in this ultra low yield climate is great for insurance companies, a lousy deal for investors when the manure hits the inflation fan.

  • Responding to the Obama administration's decision to delay action on approving TransCanda's (TRP) Keystone oil pipeline until after the 2012 election, Canadian PM Harper reiterates the need for his country to focus on getting product to Asia. • Reduce Risk With A 9-ETF Retirement Portfolio [View article]
The Cuggino Permanent Portfolio fund, which can be easily be replicated with ETFs, presents both increased safety and enhanced preservation of capital as demonstrated over many years.

  • iShares MSCI Turkey ETF Looks Delicious [View article]

  • Why It's Time To Invest In Cuba [View article]
    No. You are dead wrong.

Until the rule of law, property rights, settlement of outstanding claims from exiles, etc. are addressed, it is Cuba, No...not Cuba, Si.

Where on earth did you get the idea that because of a pronouncement or two from the Castro brothers that Cuba was now on the radar screen?

I will grant you that many ex-US companies are working within Cuba in areas such as deep water drilling off the coast, but the participation is but a small fraction of their business portfolio.

My son, who is a member of the US Interest Section in Havana, would concur.
