I'm looking at the iPhone and iPad in their industry as a whole from the Technology Adoption Life Cycle of Goeffry Moore's "Crossing the Chasm".
Smartphone industry would fit in the "early majority" of the Technology Adoption Cycle and the tablet market has just crossed the "chasm". That's my reasoning behind my views on the iPhone and iPad.

Not sure where I alluded to an "iPad killer", I'm very bullish on AAPL, http://bit.ly/pmJwnr but I think Amazon's new tablet has the potential to take away a slice of the market share. For those who can spare the change, they will still look to purchase an iPad as it is the best tablet device available.

Obviously I do recommend to hold some VXX but personally I think there is a chance the market rally and really push the top of the trading range. Small difference we are arguing about though. However, for VXX to reach 400, backwardation must persist for a very long time, that can't be counted on.

I agree VXX is currently too high, I would love to see it lower so I can add some in my portfolio. It's getting there though. We'll probably see it test the SP500 test the top of its trading range. Love to look at VXX again when that happens.

Did you mean Visa? China is known for dominating it's electronic payment industry with it's state owned China UnionPay. China has been very protective in terms of their media industry and in any industry where they have a large state owned company. So far China has had very cooperative retail regulations and Apple's retail business will continue to thrive in China. However, Apple's venture into cloud computing could be stifled.
