Raw Data Report: Harley Davidson, Nintendo, Macy's [View article]
Hi Fujimo and BlueOkie,
Once again your welcome for our early and insightful call on HOG. Didn't Goldman just downgrade HOG to a Sell today (1/12)? Jeez two weeks ago you could have gotten an inkling things like this were going to happen if you would have accepted good field data from TickerMine. Maybe field/survey data is valuable for more than just print filler.
Feel free to post a public apology here too since we've been extremely open and transparent in our work and opinions.
Note to Bachelor or Science: The points you make on Chili's may be correct. Our coverage of EAT in this article speaks to the On the Border Mexican Cantina and Grill and not Chili's. We did post a report on Chili's separately that raise issues about how well that brand is doing.
Note to Swingline. Not sure why you believe that TickerMine's research is the worst ever. Your calculation on the number of Burger King's we spoke with is about right - 0.03% of all U.S. outlets. We are the only persistent and mass available primary research service. Our thoughts include using our data in conjunction with other sources that you use to drive your investment process.
Your comments assume that there is anyone putting out real data on these companies. While our surveys are not exhaustive, they are superior to all other research since frankly no one else does any primary research on these companies. 99% of all "reports" are simple editorial opinions based on author opinions with little to no factual research data in them. TickerMine attempts to bring some level of real data into the market. It is fine to criticize the work but you are comparing our work to hypothetical surveys that do not exist in the market.
I hope you will find value from the unique and valuable data supplied at TickerMine.com and those reports which we file on SeekingAlpha as well.
New stores drove up the numbers. I think our survey captured the performance of the same store sales. The stock price is much trickier to predict given the flow of changes in assumptions and outlook. I think long term you will find that primary research like this will get you going in the right direction.

Nissan is coming. As we add coverage to our new data service we have some uneveness in our coverage. Nissan will be in our next report on Foreign autos in May.
Raw Data Report: Fast Food Restaurants [View article]
The above comments are correct. Our data is accurate for La Salsa but we did mis-tag it as a part of CKE. We will identify La Salsa as "Private" in future posts.
You can see all the stores that were surveyed at Tickermine.com. You need to sign up for the Diamond Miner service but you can see every call made to every store with location and contact information.
The credibility comes from doing real field work on these names month over month while no one else provides any visibility into their data or sources of data to make conclusions.
You can also see month over month differences in what store reps have said at TickerMine.com. The format of our survey questions does not encourage any particular response or any particular directional response.
The data can be seen in detail (in a spreadsheet) and compared to previous month's survey data at tickermine.com. You need to be a DiamondMiner subscriber to see the data.
The purpose of these is to report actual field data since most of the articles /theories /posts in the financial world are opinions based on little to no actual field data.
The Sprint report that Motorola was the best selling phone is February is 100% accurate according to the Sprint reps that TickerMine called and spoke with. The reason of course is that the RAZR is free, people are saving money and taking free phones over phones that cost money. Real data can give you a real edge. Try it. tickermine.com.
Sincerely, Casey Ryan CEO TickerMine Casey@tickermine.com
