Profitable Independent Lenders: Next Victims of the Credit Crunch?

I think the big banks will confine their lending to mortgages that conform the Fannie & Freddie guidelines so the can continue to be able to resell them. Independent lenders like TMA who hold and service the mortgages they originate will actually have less competition once the dust settles and markets realize every home in America is not going into forclosure.
