Tim Sweeney
Tim provides high level and confidential M&A, Business and Legal Strategy consulting services to some of the leaders of the top companies and professional service organizations in the United States through Sweeney & Associates. Tim works only on a limited number of engagements each year, generally only on a referral basis, and recently has been focusing more of his time on corporate turnarounds and reorganizations.
Tim is a former partner in the global law firm of Pillsbury Winthrop, where he spent the first 14 years of his career, and a former senior partner at Deloitte LLP for 5 years. In March of 2000, he became the managing director of an internet company, and subsequently was hired as a senior executive of a major public company to assist in its reorganization and sale to a group of private equity buyers.
Tim graduated with honors from the University of Michigan Law School, where he also taught numerous undergraduate accounting classes. He received an accounting degree with highest honors from the University of Illinois and a National Award on the CPA exam.
