    Hi John,

    You know 1st quarter results will not be "good". It sounds like you are investing on the turnaround - vs a long time shareholder who has lost significant $ as the JCP shares have declined.

    Playing it as a rebound - without the major share price loss - is a different approach.

    Johnson didn't leave because Q1 numbers supported his thesis on how to not offer sales/discounts. He should have renamed the company Tiffany2 and put all apparel in a blue box. :)

    I think they wil sell retail assets, downside, close stores. Now if that creates shareholder value (after paying bond holders first), maybe it is "fixable".

    They have lost direction; they have lost money; they have destroyed their financial statements; and the competition has taken it from the board of director's decision to hire Ron Johnson.

    Ackman still likes the name. VNO sold 50% of their shares - probably "just in case" risk management.

    If I were JC Penney, I would consult with Dana Telsey for the 5 retailers to consider specifically for JCP. Dana knows this industry better than anybody.

    Are there any establishments that cheap people? I would like to know so I could avoid those placed too.

    JCPenney either makes money or doesn't. What they have done did not work. They are seeking $1 billion in new capital now because their cash flow won't cover through 2013.

    Something is wrong. Hopefully it's fixed and everything can return to normal.
