ABOUT
As the name implies, we are top down fundamental investors with a primary objective to position our portfolio within high growth sub-sectors of the collective economy. We strongly believe in fundamentals over the long term and embrace a “back to basics” approach to investing.
The process begins by identifying high growth sub-industries and then finding companies that exhibit strong fundamentals, which we believe are best positioned to benefit from the overlying trend. Ideally, we seek to own companies that sell the “picks and axes” during the “gold rush” trend.
Our time horizon is longer term because our experience has proven that the trends we typically identify tend to last longer than most ...More expectations. However, we sensibly take profits if an investment materializes sooner than we had anticipated.
We always keep it simple by only buying shares of individual companies or unleveraged ETFs.
Our track record speaks for itself this year with our 2012 YTD return of 25.26% vs. 12.09% on the S&P 500 (as of 3/19/2012 close).
