Ok let's say he said it did not cause the bubble. The fact he believes that is the same issue. It was not the sole cause - there are many. But it set off a chain of events (the quest for yield by institutions since their normal instruments were decimated by Alan Greenspan) and from there the daisy chain began.

It's always expensive, I would not short it on PE or anything like that.
Its like BIDU - ALWAYS expensive. Or AMZN nowadays.
Frankly its difficult to short anything right now - I am simply using cash as my hedge and just about long with everything else until this freight train slows down. Those were some ideas, but its like swimming upstream to short right now.

I picked these 2 but I have seen many similar strange moves...
As for TA - its generally going to work more to your advantage in markets that are not in "rising tide lifts all boat" mode (March 09+) or "all stocks are evil" mode (2nd half 2008 - Feb 09)
Individual stock TA must be overlaid with the general market TA IMO. If the overall market is breaking out - either to the up or downside, in a strong trend ... it takes MANY stocks along with it, damn their individual charts.

The "renewables" are the blade part of the model. The machines are the razors. In the long run the beauty of the business model will be the reoccuring revenue from many a blade.
There was some scuttebutt last quarter about the economic slowdown hurting hospitals ability to finance the purchases but it appears this was overblown - but it was one cause of the pressure in the stock the last 90 days.
Very unique company - that is for sure.
