    my gut tells me that the retail investors got long and bullish in oct-nov, and are now the dip buyers... i'm afraid they may be wiped out once again by the next crisis to take center stage e.g., a resurgent and more catastrophic euro-crisis or a sharp slowdown in growth in china. you need not look further than seeking alpha's 'stocktalks' to see that the average investor is bullish...

    ya, it's a bad headline, or maybe indeed investing is no different or even worse than gambling. studies have shown that pro poker players average better returns than hedge funds (relative to their respective benchmarks).

    i can understand your point of view, but look at the performance of green energy over the past 2-3 years. In the past I thought as you and invested in Vestas (VWS.CO). Check out that share performance. Oil companies track the price of oil more closely than alternative energy.
