Vijay Singal is a professor of Finance at Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business. His research focuses on the stock market especially related to predictability in returns and market inefficiencies covering areas such as dividends and repurchases, stock splits, index changes, seasonalities, merger arbitrage, industry momentum, short term price drift, insider trading, short selling, currency risk, etc. In addition to his research, he has a book titled "Beyond the Random Walk: A Guide to Market Anomalies and Low Risk Strategies" published by Oxford University Press (hardcover, 2004; reissued as paperback, 2006). He is a consultant for design and implementation of trading strategies.
