Alan Abelson Died: Lives On Through A Generation He Defined [View article]
Hi James,
I just wanted to write and say your column about Alan Abelson made me very nostalgic. It accurately summarizes what some of us who became addicted to finance experienced during the course of their relationship with Mr. Abelson. He was the best writer I ever read, in any subject matter. Apparently, he had similar qualities as a professional and human. Thank you for your personal anecdote about Jim Rogers, and best of luck with continued success in the investment profession.

Hi Sarah,
Your article nails this. If ever there was an unloved sector, this is it. The multiples are very cheap. Thank you for reminding me. Good luck with your investments and SA articles.

Hi Bazoooka,
Thank you for the comment and for reading the article. The company does seem to be very confident that they will see volume ramping up in the near future. Still, until it happens it hasn't happened. If it does, it changes the whole picture for them. A very interesting company. Best of luck with your investments.
Thank you for the kind comment. Nobody is born a great investor and the thirst for knowledge usually pays benefits one cannot possibly imagine. I am sure it will pay off for you in many ways. Agreed on Zuck. Best of luck with your investments.
Thanks for reading the article and your comment. I don't care how he dresses and admire what he has and will continue to build in Facebook. Thanks again for reading the article.
Thank you for reading the article and your comment. Buffett has control and investors have done unbelievably with him. Depends what the guy in control does to create value. Good luck with your trades and investments and thanks again for reading the article.
Thank you for reading the article and your comment. Time will tell on the merits of Facebook as an investment. I wish you the best of luck with all your investments.
Thank you for reading the article and your comment. Agreed, the Facebook ads can be a bit irritating but that is how they pay the bills! Good luck with your investments.
Thank you for reading the article and your comment. Regarding your questions, look at the table and compare the number of shares which get unlocked versus the total number of shares outstanding and that gives you the ability to see how much supply could come on the market. I think each investor has to come up with what they consider a price where they think there is value. Thank you again for reading the article.

Steady Goes The Big Ship - An Update On The Progress Of Transforming BP [View article]
Hi Jan,
Thank you for the comment. I have no opinion on what the DoJ should do, especially considering the current administration's leadership (if you want to call it that). With respect to your inclusion of a risk factor being the Argentinian operations, I would respectfully disagree. I don't know what percentage of oil production it currently represents of BP's total, but I would bet it is less than 5%. The important issues for BP are resuming full production, completing their refinery investments, continuing to get new project up and running in the Gulf of Mexico, resolving the TNK situation, and obviously the Justice Department negotiations or trial. If it goes to trial, will take a few years. Good luck with your investments.
