  • Question on Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (GMCR): After execs pointedly said they would build up inventory of Keurig machines ahead of the holiday season, the company's products are finding their way onto clearance sites. Meaningless factoid or a disturbing trend? (h/t Ron Reuven, Reuven Enterprises) [View news story]
Blackjava, I hope you know that the plan you stated of getting rid of old to make room for vue "is not" what the company's management said.

  • Green Mountain: Disconnect Between Admitting Mistakes And The Financial Statements [View article]
Good article with some good questions. I wonder why non of the gmcr bulls are ever inclined to answer the questions, but instead make personal insults, accusations and meaningless remarks like "it's 25 going to gazillion in two months." some of the bulls sound exactly like gmcr management when asked tough questions like: "please explain your businesses current status and expectations".....answer: what a crock. Such manipulation, you short sellers are evil and are determined to bash this stock every time it gets to X price. I knew you crooks would do that.

    So let's try this again,
Does anyone belive in a civilized debate and the right to disagree or ask difficult questions?

Please try to answer the question before calling me a crook short seller. Thanks.

  • ARM Holdings Isn't The Best Way To Play The ARM [View article]
What many don't realize about $ARMH is that in order for them to continue competing they're going to have to increase their capex dramatically. This will change margins from where they've been historically and may even start affecting eps as soon as current quarter.

  • H-P (HPQ) says it won't initially launch ARM-based (ARMH) Windows RT (MSFT) tablets, and will focus on selling Intel (INTC) and AMD-based Windows 8 gear. H-P claims the decision was influenced by customer input, and suggests the backwards compatibility of Intel/AMD systems with existing Windows apps was a factor. Last week, the ARM version of Microsoft Surface - thinner, lighter, and probably less expensive - received more attention than the Intel version. (previous)  [View news story]
ARMH is going to have a tough time getting their way if they continue building a "no brand" business.

  • Don't think of ARM (ARMH) as a mere CPU core developer. Shipments of chips containing ARM's Mali graphics processor (GPU) cores are expected to double this year to 100M, according to marketing exec Kevin Smith. Smith adds Mali cores are now found in 70% of "graphics-enabled" HDTVs, 50% of Android tablets, and 20% of Android phones. Mali competes with GPU cores from Imagination (IGNMF.PK), which are used in Apple's A5 and many other mobile processors.  [View news story]
he's picking that number right out of a hat with high hopes and dreams he ends up being remotely right. this guy clearly doesnt realize how little royalty and licensing money $ARMH gets on each chip. They have to sell about 2.5 Billion more Mali chips just to make 100mm in revenues, thats more than 30% of their total chips. and just in case anyone was wondering, the market these chips are used in (TV's) is struggling. in so many words........NOT HAPPENING

  • Sunshine Ahead For This 'Organic' Shadow Stock [View article]
You forgot to mention STKL's Approx 20% stake in mascoma, an alternative energy producer which STKL recieved in exchange for their Bioprocess group division a couple of years ago. The Bioprocess group was once valued at $360mm alone when Blackrock bought into it before the crises and Mascoma has filed for an IPO, which looks like its valuing the entire company at around $500mm. The reason this is significant is because even if the value of mascoma ends up at 300mm, than STKL's stake will end up at $1 per share, currently carrying a value of 0 on their balance sheet.

  • Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Former Chairman Cries 'Don't Let Him Go' For Margin Call, May Option Review [View article]
If the short thesis is playing out and the problems are bigger than anticipated, they why recommend to close out short on gmcr?

  • Green Mountain Coffee Patents: Does The World End In 2012? [View article]
its a good article but I dont understand why you clearly admit to not being a patent attorney yet disagree with the patent attorney jbg189. I think you should get some advice from a patent attorney of your choice to confirm your opinion and rewrite the article so it has more legs. further, your comment at 3:16 with the assumption about patent 5,840,189 is a very risky assumption. If gmcr management was worth their own salt, they would clarify this patent issue once and for all. instead they have dodged the question time after time with talks of other patents they are working on or have and blah blah blah, yet never ever answering the question. yes I am a know bear and short the stock, but I am not ignorant or close minded to valid opinions and factual information. As I said earlier, despite my own opinon about gmcr, you should take the time and confirm your "opinion" about the patents with a patent attorney of your choice or better yet, a written confirmation form GMCR legal department. Although this may cost you a few dollars, if you have an investment of at least 50k in gmcr, its worth $500 to 2000 dollars to confirm your thesis.

  • Green Mountain (GMCR) Chairman Robert Stiller is hit with a margin call following the plunge in the company's stock and forced to unload 5M shares. (Form 144)  [View news story]
I have to give it to him, margin call is a great excuse to unload the stock. Especially since none of the bulls are asking any tough questions. They all assume its a real problem and forced sale
I bet the other execs are going to use similar excuses to sell some more of their stock. It's as if no one noticed the hundreds and hundreds of millions worth of GMCR Stiller and the rest of the management already sold.
